WHO WE ARE
The FABS Council (Functional Afrocentric Beauty Standards) is an independent, non-profit body dedicated to certifying natural and organic skincare for melanin-rich skin.
Our work is guided by Glowmark™, the world’s first certification mark designed specifically to uphold the safety, quality, and authenticity of Afrocentric beauty products, with emphasis on melanin-rich skincare.
The Council brings together experts in dermatology, natural formulations, pyschodermatology (neurocosmetic skincare), organic certification, and Afrocentric research to ensure our standards remain rigorous, inclusive, and globally recognized.
Our governance structure includes:
